INDEPENDENTLY UNITED / INFOS

A new information
architecture
for a new
IT model

Independently United is developing INFOS, a governed information architecture for a new model of personal computing where identity, information, AI participation, authority and continuity remain together across changing machines and services.

We believe personal computing should restore trust, privacy and control over our digital lives.

Today, much of our digital life exists inside systems we access but do not truly control. Our information is scattered across platforms, devices and services, and continuity often depends on continued access to someone else’s infrastructure. Independently United is exploring a different model.

Distributed systems.
Fragmented continuity.

Modern computing distributes information across applications, devices, clouds and AI systems.

Identity, authority and continuity are usually fragmented across those systems.

INFOS is designed to keep those relationships together.

A governed
information architecture.

INFOS brings identity, information, participation and authority into a persistent environment. These are the architectural concerns it brings together:

01Identity
02Admission
03Governed information
04Operational Domains
05Participants
06Bounded authority
07Approval
08Revocation
09Provenance
10Evidence
11Continuity
INFOSINFORMATION OPERATING ARCHITECTURE

Intelligence is not authority.

An AI may understand a request without automatically having the authority to carry it out. INFOS separates intelligence, permission and realization.

✓   AUTHORITY / AI PARTICIPATION

INFOS Agent Authority

Governed authority for AI agents.

An admitted AI participant can be given bounded, task-scoped authority over information and capabilities, with explicit approval, revocation, provenance and evidence.

Intelligence can propose. Authority determines what may happen.

Why “home”?

Because scattered information loses context, gets forgotten and can disappear, your digital life needs a persistent place that survives the applications, devices and services around it.

Imagine a different approach to personal computing: a portable, private and intelligent computing environment for your digital life. A place where your information, identity, AI participation and continuity can remain together, even as the machines and services around them change or when offline.

A path home to your digital life.

Independently United

Independently United LLC is developing INFOS and IU Cube in Florida.

We are working toward a computing model in which people, organizations and AI can operate inside persistent governed computing environments without surrendering continuity to individual applications, platforms or machines.
